There will be many opportunities to become involved with Neos Center and the Village as the vision gradually unfolds over the next years.
One way is to join the team, which will involve either living at Neos or nearby in the area of Montemor-o-Novo.

New Team Members
Needed Now!
We have just started living at Neos Center, and are excited to gather the team to bring first version of the vision to fruition! The following positions are open immediately and need filling before 1st July 2025.
Team members will ideally live at the Center and enjoy this beautiful nature setting.
Please note that available live-in positions are full time and therefore roles could be combined. Positions could be short or long term, allowing time to feel the alignment.
Long term applicants should be willing to learn the Portuguese language in order to integrate with the local community.
Farm to Table Chef
Responsibilities Involve:
-
Providing daily meals for the team, guests and for retreats.

At any one time there could be only 5 team members or up to 30 participants for a retreat (assistance can be sourced whenever needed)

Collecting local organic produce until our market garden is established in 2026.
Maintenance
Responsibilities Involve:
-
Taking care of & improving the property, with some understanding of plumbing, electrics and handyman work.

Contracting or liaising with other tradesman to fix or build in the property.

Possibility: gardens and/or farm work.

Possibility: building or architectural work.
Hospitality
Responsibilities Involve:
-
Assisting with guest management, welcoming and liaising with retreat organisers and hotel guests.

Taking care of the accommodations and managing local cleaners and communications with the maintenance team.

Assist with event management.

Possibility: combine with Project Manager role.
Operations Manager
Responsibilities Include:
-
Working closely with Karen and Vincent and all Center property team members, overseeing the smooth management of the property and guest /retreat operations.

Possibility: combine with hospitality & events role.

Possibility: expansion of role into village development project.
Farm & Gardens
Responsibilities may include (this may be two roles instead of one):

Working within guidance of the regeneration team (Ekogaio)

Maintaining the Market Garden

Maintaining and improving the beautification of the gardens around the Center.

Feeding and caring for the animals, e.g. chickens, rabbits, geese, peacocks, ostrich, as possibly also the cows.
